The Lilac City Young Marines are now accepting new enrollment!! Meetings are Wednesdays from 6:30PM-8:00PM at the Battle Grounds & Hobbies store 5215 N Market St 99217, in Hillyard. A small registration fee is required along with the costs of uniforms. The Young Marines is a youth education and service program for boys and girls, ages 8 through completion of high school. The Young Marines promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members. The program focuses on character building, leadership, and promotes a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The Young Marines is the focal point for the U.S. Marine Corps' youth Drug Demand Reduction efforts. Young Marines will participate in parades, color guards, encampments, navigation classes, first aid classes and lots more!
